Eels Mite Team wins Silver Medal at the Germain Christmas Classic

The Eel Mites shine at the Sherwood Christmas Tournament earning the Silver Medal Honors. Great Day for the future of the Fort Myers Travel Program The Eels have elected this year to focus on player development for their younger guys. Great attention is placed on skill development over games. The program does not burden the parents at the Mite age with a heavy game schedule. Rather the mite coaches stress practice and skill sessions.
The net result was test positive. The Eels Mites went into the Germain Christmas Tournament prepared. They played so well making it to the Final Round of the playoffs. The Eels lost the final game in double overtime 1-0. It was an extremely exciting nail biting barnburner of a game.
The future looks very promising for the Eels program when you see the Mites doing so well and the Squirts playing phenomenal in the FAHL, state Tournaments, Regional Silversticks and now off to the International Silversticks in quest for the Big Crown
