The Eels are very excited as another alumni player - Cam Darcy- is expected to be drafted this weekend in the NHL entry draft.
Cam Darcy played 2 seasons for the Florida Eels program right here in Fort Myers. He played on the Eels Bantam Tier I AAA team and then a second season on the U16 Midget Team.

NHL Draft Watch: Former Eel Cam Darcy expected to be drafted this weekend
Cam is without doubt one of the best 1994 players in the USA. Cam left the Florida Eels to join the NTPD. It was a huge honor for Cam to become a member of the USA National Team. That is a dream all American born players have. After playing for the Eels in one of the Chowder Cup series he was invited to attend the US National Team. Shortly thereafter, Cam was signed by Division I Northeastern University.
Cam is not the only Darcy who played for the Eels. Cam's brother Chad played 4+ years for the Florida Eels then moving on to the University of New Hampshire.
The Eels are very proud of the Darcy family, as they have become great ambassadors in the sport of hockey carrying the Eels legacy to such great heights as young men.
